Welcome to Release Academy,
A LoveBristol School of Supernatural Ministry.
Release is a word often used to describe gaining freedom and at the Release Academy we are committed to release at all levels of life and ministry, bringing freedom and positive change for both the city we live in and the students who attend the school. We want to see students released into a secure identity and destiny, as children of a loving God, and released into a fruitful ministry that offers healing and freedom bringing "release to captives" and positively influences the culture of our city.
We are a 9 month, hands-on ministry training school led by a team of revivalists & reformers from the LoveBristol team and beyond.
Our vision is to train up a generation of revivalists and reformers, radical lovers of Jesus, who passionately desire life-changing encounters with Him. Graduates who want to see our amazing city and planet encounter the Love of God and see the culture and justice of the Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, where everyone has the opportunity to walk as sons and daughters like Jesus.
Every follower of Jesus is called to continue the ministry of Jesus and of the disciples: enjoying the presence of God, able to discern and join in with what He is doing, and to learn what it looks like to dream with God.
Our primary aim is to equip students to be naturally supernatural everywhere they go irrespective of their vocation, age and nationality. The curriculum is designed to produce graduates who are full of love, integrity, confidence and honour and are able to walk in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.
Our mission is to reveal God Himself, where the presence of God is so strong. That students are taught by God Himself. (Is 54). Believers in Jesus who know God intimately and can transform spheres of influence by being a source of life, hope and freedom wherever they go and can dream with God to see His solutions transform our city, nation and the world.
Who is LoveBristol
LoveBristol is a small church and not-for-profit organisation set up in 2006. Love Bristol has a leadership team, a board of trustees and is financially independent from, but affiliated with the Woodlands Group of Churches, through which it has spiritual accountability via their senior leader Rob Scott-Cook.
Driven by a passion to see our city transformed, we aim to be a prophetic voice and an equipping resource working with others to see the body of Christ bring divine love and healing to every community in Bristol, proactively blessing and serving people, inside and outside its walls, with acts of love, creativity and supernatural healing.
We are based in Stokes Croft - the heart of urban Bristol. Parts of this area are recognised as in bottom 4% of all UK areas for social deprivation (IMD 2015). The local council have dubbed this area a ‘gateway’ to the city...we are looking to see it become a gateway to the Kingdom. Check us out at LoveBristol.org
